This popular Willamette Riverside resource offers the user a variety of options to meander along about a 1/4 mile stretch of river within the 8 acre Irish Bend County Park. Follow along the open gravel bar or move off the shoreline a bit onto the sandy paths that have been cut into the riparian vegetation by the river currents during periods of high water flow. The gravel bar offers excellent rock hounding and flat rock skipping. activities. Anglers frequent this location as it serves as a strategic primitive launch site. It is also a strategic stop for Willamette River Trail paddlers. A portable restroom is provided during peak use summer months.
