This County park features picnic facilities and two trails: one with interpretive signage describing fort history, the other forming a loop through a woodland setting.
This trail courses through an area of Fort Hoskins which has recently undergone habitat restoration. Details about these efforts are provided on the kiosk next to the park restroom. The Recreational Loop Trail also provides excellent views down upon the former fort parade grounds and Luckiamute watershed in the background. The environment around this 1.6 mile trail consists of Douglas- fir forest, open meadows and a few massive oak trees dating back to the Fort era. If there are signs of restoration work going on in the meadows please be respectful by not disturbing these areas.
