This trail is part of the Salmonberry River Campground, located on the Alsea River. Other amenities on site include a picnic area and boat ramp.

This accessible trail links the Salmonberry Campground with the adjacent day use area boat ramp. The Alsea river at this location is quite picturesque not to mention the angling, floating and nature observation opportunities. During the summer months, several campers have made it a tradition to feast on crawdads after a leisurely afternoon of checking their river traps. In the fall salmon can be observed spawning along this reach of the river.
