Located near Peavy Arboretum in McDonald Forest, Banzai Trail can be accessed via the gate on the 540 Road, which is located on the western side of HWY 99W across from Adair Village's Vandenberg Avenue. To reach Banzai Trail, follow the 540 Road west until its junction with the 543 Road. At this point, veer right onto the 543 Road. The 543 Road becomes Banzai Trail, which connects to the 562 Road. Banzai Trail passes through an area of McDonald Forest that is managed for high-quality wood products. This area of the forest demonstrates plantations with moderately long rotations that emphasize growing high-quality Douglas-fir wood. The wood produced in this area is used mainly for exposed beams and other high-quality structural products. Banzai Trail is a multiple-use trail open year-round to hikers, bikers, and equestrians. The trail has a gravel surface that can become muddy in the rainy season. Banzai Trail is one third of a mile in length with a 77 foot gain in elevation. Banzai Trail is a steep trail and is very popular with mountain bikers!
